SIXTY-NINE jobs are to go at the TBA Composites plant in Hindley Green.
But the entire workforce at the Leigh Road set-up is being offered the chance to move to the company's main factory in Rochdale.
Hindley Green is a satellite works of Spotland-based TBA Composites producing rubber vibration control products for the motor industry. One of its biggest customers is the Rover Group.
Managing director Ken Humphris anticipated the transfer would be completed by the end of August. The Rochdale HQ currently has 120 employees.
He said: "We are not having a great time at the moment. We are relocating to reduce costs but all 69 employees will be offered the opportunity to relocate.
"We are hoping they will transfer their skills."
Mr Humphris said those who didn't wish to move would be offered redundancy terms.
He was optimistic a streamlined operation would be successful in a tough marketplace.
