BRIGHT pupils of Rainford High School have once again gained top marks in maths competitions run by the University of Liverpool. Year 8 pupil Christopher Wedge beat 3,000 rivals from schools throughout the North West to win first prize in the Merseyside Challenge Competition; while Richard Clavering from Year 7 was also among the prizes.
In the senior challenge meanwhile, Year 10 pupil Alex Turner was also awarded a prize, despite already having a heavy workload with the Work Experience scheme and preparations for exams.
