DO you know of anyone who deserves recognition for building a new life after stroke?
Perhaps you know of a family or couple who, following a stroke, have worked together to overcome adversity? Or a carer who has helped a friend or relative overcome the devastating effects of stroke?
If so, you can nominate them for one of the Stroke Association's Life After Stroke awards.
The award categories are for courage, carers, younger persons, artistic achievement, the family, and a special award for a celebrity or public figure who has successfully overcome a stroke or helped raise the profile of stroke through personal experience.
Nomination forms are available from Life After Stroke Awards, The Stroke Association, CHSA House, Whitecross Street, London EC1Y 8JJ or telephone 0171 490 7999. The closing date is Friday, July 5.
DR SYLVIA McLAUCHLAN, Director General, The Stroke Association, London.
