THERE was hardly a dry eye in the club when cancer victim Chrissie Rey went on stage at a benefit concert at Guy Fold Cabaret Club, Padiham.
Chrissie, 34, has terminal cancer and brain tumours - and the concert could be her swan-song.
During her singing career, Chrissie of Manchester Road, Burnley, has played all the pubs and clubs in Burnley and East Lancashire.
The Chrissie Duo - with ex-husband Ian Rockliffe - were back together on stage for a five-song set.
Chrissie also delighted the packed house singing with Sweet Freedom.
Her partner, Dave Stansfield, said: "It was a magic night. The place was jammed and more acts turned up than we could fit in. Chrissie thoroughly enjoyed it.''
It is not yet known exactly how much was made, but a sizeable amount will go to Christie's Hospital in Manchester.
