A NEW £100,000 centre believed to be the first of its kind in the country has opened its doors.
Industry representatives from across the country attended the official opening of the Laundry Technology Centre in Oswaldtwistle.
Textile firm Hilden Manufacturing of Oswaldtwistle has joined forces with laundry supplier Warner Howard to launch the centre which will teach laundry staff how to clean and care for linen.
The purpose-built complex at Hilden's Clifton Mill showroom includes a training laundry, seminar suite and research and development centre.
The centre will offer courses aimed at hotels, restaurants, nursing homes and hospitals.
