CRUEL vandals caused heartbreak for pensioner Harold True when they threw paint all over his car.
The retired glazier was devastated when he discovered his dark red Volvo 240 saloon car splattered with white household paint.
"I can't think why anyone would want to do this to me," said upset Harold, 62, of Whalley Old Road, Blackburn.
"The car was parked outside my house as usual and I have never had any trouble before.
"It must have been drunks or vandals because I haven't done anything to upset anyone, if anything I am everyone's friend."
Now Harold, who had to take early retirement on health grounds, faces a repair bill which could run into hundreds of pounds.
"I know it isn't a new car but it is my pride and joy and we need it to get around. I just hope I can get the paint off myself or else I will have to pay for an expensive respray."
