URGENT health checks were being carried out at a Colne Primary School after a pupil was admitted to hospital with the killer disease meningitis.
The youngster was rushed to Burnley General Hospital after complaining of feeling unwell.
Community health chiefs carried out tests on other members of the family who were given the all-clear. Health staff later visited the child's school and distributed leaflets.
