A CHAMPION breeder from Blackpool and his three award-winning dogs headline in a new national TV ad campaign to be screened next week, commencing July 1.
Mike Gadsby from Marton and his three champion American cocker spaniels star in the advert for Pedigree Chum. Mike, 35, who owns Afterglow Boarding Kennels and Beauticians on Whitehill Road, said: "The makers of the product contacted me through listings of competition winners and I gladly accepted."
Award-winning cockers, Clifford, Dexter and Hunter, are shown frolicking about and generally being pampered in the 45-second film which gets its first national screening on Monday evening.
Mike enthused: "The advert begins with me playing about with all three dogs and generally having a good time. But Clifford really stole the show.
"He particularly enjoyed himself in one of the shots when he's seen on a table being groomed. It was really good fun and the dogs enjoyed themselves tremendously."
Mike, who can take credit for 14 champions in seven different breeds said: "I've been breeding of all kinds of dogs for about 20 years now and Clifford really is a showpiece.
Speaking from experience, he said: "Our intention at Afterglow is for people's pets to come out of the grooming parlour looking like champions. Dog breeding is what I love doing - and I know I do it well."
