A HUNDRED jobs were saved at an aero-engine plant because it had won vital new work, it was announced today.
Unions at Rolls-Royce, Barnoldswick, said management had been able to agree that 250 redundancies announced in May would be cut to around 150. A spokesman said: "We have reduced the number of jobs we need to lose, owing to the success of management in bringing work into the facility."
