CITIZEN readers came to the rescue after seeing last week's story about the plight of Burnley cat-lover Michelle Pickering's sanctuary for strays.
Michelle was told she must close her back-garden cattery after complaints from neighbours - and that meant the poor creatures faced more upheaval.
But since our article, nine kittens and seven adults have been given to good homes. "Thank you for such good help," said Michelle.
