MOST 16-year-olds have enough on their plates studying for dreaded GCSE exams - but not 'super-pupil' Billal Naveed.
The Edge End High School golden boy has been picking up awards for his academic and entrepreneurial talents all year, including a place on a top business management course.
Now he's preparing to represent Lancashire at a prestigious summer seminar for Europe's young high-flyers - as well as taking his fifth-year exams.
His headteacher, Martin Burgess, told the Citizen: "We're tremendously proud of Billal's achievements. He's a real credit to himself and to his family.
"He will be a great ambassador for Pendle and for Lancashire."
Billal, from Padiham, beat competition from all over Lancashire to win one of two county council places at August's European Youth Seminar, organised to promote understanding and harmony among young people throughout Europe.
In May he was part of the Edge End team which scooped five of the Pendle Young Enterprise Awards. Billal took the best achiever (north east Lancashire) title and the best oral presentation award, which qualified him for the Young Enterprise Lancashire Final at which he won the place on the Dale Carnegie business management course, valued at £1,400.
