HUNDREDS of holidaymakers were desperately trying to make new plans today after civil war erupted in Yugoslavia.
Travel firms in East Lancashire were inundated with customers and calls after the country was declared a no-go zone by the Foreign Office and holiday planes were grounded. Althams in Burnley stayed open until late in the night as staff pulled out all the stops to find alternative holidays.
