MORE than 230 weapons have been handed in across Lancashire during the nationwide firearms amnesty which ends tomorrow.
The haul includes revolvers, shotguns and rifles.
Lancashire Police assistant chief constable (operations) John Vine said: "The chance of these weapons falling into the wrong hands no longer exists."
All weapons handed in have been closely examined by a qualified firearms officer and declared safe. They will be stored by police before being disposed of.
