A CASH-STRAPPED council is hoping to sell off land to housing developers and businesses to raise £1 million.
Sites across Pendle have been earmarked for development and council officers are hoping to attract buyers by including planning permission in the sale price.
Council estates manager Bill Hargreaves said: "This year, we've put the entire land sales package in one job lot to give members plenty of warning and to allow me the longest time to market them.
"We want to market them with planning permission so that potential buyers don't have to worry about getting permission if they purchase the land.
"The council is looking to get around £1 million in capital receipts from the sales this year."
Decisions on whether the land will be sold are expected to be taken by the relevant area committees of the council in August.
All the applications are for outline permission. More detailed plans would have to be submitted before any building went ahead.
