TWO historic aircraft which have played a major role in British Aerospace's Military Aircraft Division are on the move.
The Experimental Aircraft Programme development plane is to be moved on loan to Loughborough University to replace the Fly-By-Wire Jaguar development aircraft that has been used by engineering students there for the past four years.
And the Jaguar has now been lent to the Royal Air Force Museum at RAF Cosford.
The EAP aircraft will be used by students studying for System Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering degrees.
"This is an excellent way for the aerospace engineers of the future to develop the required combination of skills and specialist knowledge that will be essential in their careers," said Professor David Gardner, deputy managing director of BAe's Military Aircraft Division.
