BURNLEY'S contract rebels Marlon Beresford and Gerry Harrison are ready to put pen to paper on Turf Moor deals.
The Clarets first choice goalkeeper and utility star Harrison have had two rounds of fresh contract talks with manager Adrian Heath this week.
Speculation today linked Beresford with a move to either Premiership Leeds United or Sheffield Wednesday - but Burnley dismissed the reports out of hand.
The Turf Moor boss confirmed: "I've not heard a thing about it. I've not spoken to any club about Marlon going anywhere.
"Marlon will be reporting for pre-season tarining with the rest of the lads on Monday morning.
"There are one or two aspects that we need to iron out on the contract front, but we are not far away on agreeing something with both players. "Gerry and Marlon have indicated their willingness to sign new contracts.
"I can understand players trying to get the best possible deals for themselves. But I want a compromise on this situation.
"I refuse to go into the new season with this business still unresolved. I am fully expecting the players to sign now."
Heath added: "I know Marlon's heart is in the club and he has a tremendous amount of affection and feeling for Turf Moor.
"He is a favourite with the supporters and, in his heart of hearts, I know he wants to stay at Burnley."
If Harrison and Beresford agree to new deals that would leave midfielder Warren Joyce and full-back Gary Parkinson as the two remaining senior players still holding out on new contracts.
Parkinson has already refused a one-year deal while midfielder Joyce has been linked with a pre-season move to Third Division Hull City.
That increases speculation that both players could be on the move before the start of the new Second Division campaign.
