THEIR footballers may have come away empty-handed from Euro 96 but a team from Holland left East Lancashire as winners.
The four students from a college at Sittard in the Netherlands all passed a four-day export sales course held by East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce during a 10-week placement held in conjunction with Blackburn College.
And during their stay in East Lancashire the students undertook work placements with a number of local companies interesting in exporting and improving links with Holland.
They helped firms, including Allermuir, Warwick & Bailey and Lodematic, with tasks including sales canvassing and brochure translating.
