A DEPUTY head has decided to call it a day after more than quarter of a century at a school.
Dorothy Bradbury is planning to spend more time with her family after 27 years at Westholme School, Blackburn, where she was also director of studies.
Mrs Bradbury graduated at Manchester University and had responsibility for Westholme's curriculum and the general running of the Upper School.
The former Blackburn High School pupil lives in Rishton, is a mother and grandmother, a keen theatre-goer and lover of poetry.
Governors and staff attended a farewell dinner at Foxfields, where tribute was paid to her work.
Mrs Bradbury also plans to continue researching her family history.
