CAN anyone remember the songwriter Jack Bolton, who lived at number 23 Grange Street, Clayton-le-Moors, way back in 1908?
Why do I ask? Well, a man from Great Harwood brought me a 90-year-old copy of one of Mr Bolton's own songs, entitled 'Can't you take my word?'
People have passed away and it seemed a shame to burn memories like this. So this gentleman, who reads the Lancashire Evening Telegraph every night and saw a letter of mine, decided to bring it to me.
I was very moved, and I know that whoever Jack Bolton was, he must have loved music and poetry.
ADA GIBSON, Grange Street, Clayton-le-Moors.
