A MASSIVE £70 million blunder involving Enterprise Zones throughout the country - including seven in East Lancashire - was revealed.
Fierce criticism of the entire Enterprise scheme was levelled by the Commons Public Accounts Committee. It claimed that money had been going to companies and firms which don't deserve it. Estimates suggested that more than £70 million was likely to be wasted by this blunder over ten years.
