POLICE are seeking a man who launched a vicious attack on a 16-year-old youth and a 44-year-old woman.
The attack took place on Saturday, June 15 on a field behind the Bold Equestrian Centre, when the teenager approached the man and a female companion and told them they were on private land.
The man then turned on him and punched him violently to the floor. When the 44-year-old woman tried to intervene the man attacked her as well. Both suffered cuts and bruises.
The attacker is described as white, 25 to 30 years old, with black, cropped hair and a heavily-tanned, body builder-type. He had tattoos on both arms, one of them a barbed wire design near to the elbow.
Police also believe that the man is regularly seen walking dogs in the Clock Face area.
Anyone who may be able to help the police with their inquiries can contact DC Lavin on 0151 777 6066.
