AMBITIOUS plans to take a Darwen manufacturer into the 21st century have been unveiled.
The Supercover Group - which includes the Quilty nursery products site - aims to triple its size by the year 2001.
The group has set a target to increase turnover to more than £21 million and create 200 extra jobs at its Darwen and Farnworth factories.
The strategy includes looking to improve supplier partnerships, product quality and customer service.
The Supercover Group was founded in Bolton in 1981 by MD Andrew Kluge.
Two years ago it joined forces with the then struggling Quilty Ltd, which manufactures baby bedding and accessories.
The group has since grown into Europe's largest specialist in nursery items.
Mr Kluge and operations manager Geoff Garner unveiled the company's plans to employees at a special event at Ewood Park.
