THE former girlfriend of a broken-hearted businessman who is selling his palatial £400,000 home in a bid to win her back, has spoken out about their relationship.
Stella Dawson said she refused to live in the six-bedroom Lords Hall, set in the countryside of Darwen, because she considered it another woman's home.
Yesterday Arthur Morgan, head of Darwen-based Morgan Estates, said he was moving out of the luxury moorland home, which has a swimming pool and helicopter landing pad, in favour of a modest four-bedroom house in Stanhill Lane, Oswaldtwistle.
He claimed the move is his final attempt to win back Stella, whom he said is the love of his life. But Stella said today: "I was going out with Arthur and then I found out about another woman he had a relationship with.
"They were engaged once and lived together at Lords Hall. When I found out, he expected me to move in with him but I wasn't prepared to move into another woman's house."
The woman, who works for a chain of off licences, in the North West, said she did not expect she would patch up her relationship with Arthur.
