REGARDING your report 'Dentist turns away a patient in pain' (LET, June 27), I have been a regular patient at the dental practice of Christopher Lee and Simon Austin for many years and find them to be helpful, caring and accommodating.

If you respect your teeth then the answer is to have them cared for on a regular basis by a professional dental practice.

That way, if you require emergency treatment, you will get quality service. If you had a motor vehicle you relied on, then it would be wise to have it regularly serviced. Then at the time of breakdown, you could rely on emergency service.

In this example, if you went to a garage that you did not normally use, you would be expected to pay a deposit up front.
