Sightings in the Rossendale, Todmorden, Burnley, Nelson and Colne area:
BIRDS: Redstart (Roughlee), peregrine (Cliviger), little grebe (Rowley), great crested grebe (Walverden), common sandpiper (Brierfield), common partridge (Barden, Burnley).
MAMMALS: Roe deer (Brierfield and Foulridge), hedgehog, pipistrelle bat, grey squirrel (Roughlee), water vole (Barley).
INSECTS: Peacock, small tortoiseshell, red admiral, painted lady butterfly (Nelson). PLANTS: Foxglove, ivy-leaved toadflax, yarrow, dog rose, rowan blossom (Wycoller).
Sightings in the Blackburn, Darwen and Accrington areas:
BIRDS: Reed warbler (Accrington), peregrine (Darwen), heron (Church), tufted duck, coot, great crested grebe (Rishton), mute swan, moorhen (Cherry Tree).
MAMMALS: Fox, weasel (Feniscowles), hedgehog, pipistrelle bat (Witton Park).
INSECTS: Six spot ladybird, red admiral, small tortoiseshell butterfly (Pleasington).
PLANTS: Yarrow, ivy leaved toadflax, elder and rowan in flower (Pleasington), red deadnettle, white deadnettle (Accrington).
Sightings in the Ribble Valley area:
BIRDS: Kingfisher (Gisburn), whinchat (Sabden), sedge warbler (Barrow), wheatear, skylark, red grouse, black grouse (Pendle).
MAMMALS: Otter (Bolton-by-Bowland area), sika deer (Gisburn), water vole (Pendleton), stoat (Worston). INSECTS: Six spot burnet moth (Sabden), elephant hawk moth (Whalley), wood wasp (Whalley).
FLOWERS: Harebell, water mint, monkey flower, brooklime (Downham), birds foot trefoil, marjoram, ivy-leaved toadflax, wood speedwell, meadow cranesbill, welsh poppy (Sabden), bee orchid (Clitheroe area).
