I REFER to Mr Marsden's letter (LET, July 4) about what's what in the great rock and roll era.
Rock and roll in spirit, transcends genre and the last surviving British roller is none other than Keith Richards - a man who epitomises the joy and salaciousness of the particular ilk.
Musically, while rock and roll started in the early fifties, it is still alive and well (without tribute acts) in Texas, home of Buddy Holly etc. where the likes of LeRoi Brothers and Steve Doerr among many others, are the natural successors to the 'stars' of yesterday.
