FOR the last North West league game of the season, Cartmel made this their President's day a great day to remeber. There was a large number of spectators and guests - and a cracking good atmosphere.
In persistent Lakeland drizzle the Panthers clung on to a slender lead until the very last inning - only to go down by one run in a very competitive game.
A disappointing result but at least the Lions and their supporters went home happy in spite of the miserable weather.
Next Sunday, Preston Bobcats entertain West Midlands Razorbacks at Moor Park in the Northern Conference senior league. Pitch-off is at 2pm.
