SO now the authorities are saying that overcrowding in prisons will lead to a revolt.
When this happened in Strangeways it cost the tax payers millions of pounds because the so-called authorities were not doing their job.
The answer is simple. Whenever there is unrest in our prisons, the army should be put on standby. A couple of well-directed bullets at Strangeways would have put a stop to the revolt - and saved all that money!
If child murderers, for instance, are allowed to live, then we are no better than them.
Last month was the 52nd anniversary of the Normandy landings. And we've had the anniversary of the Somme where thousands of good lads were killed. They never had a chance to live a normal life.
Yet some of the useless vermin we have today are protected and pampered even when they commit the most horrible crimes.
If this possible revolt does take place, let the authority responsible pay for it - for it is their failure, not ours.
