SICK children were turned away from Burnley General Hospital because of a doctor crisis on the wards.
Young patients had to be sent to Blackburn Infirmary because the Burnley hospital could not get temporary 'locum' cover for junior doctors.
Other departments were to be hit during the following three years as the working hours of junior doctors were cut.
