BREAKTHROUGH Breast Cancer's first ever national raffle in 1994 raised an incredible £100,000 towards its appeal, which aims to raise £15 million to establish the world's first dedicated breast cancer research centre.
In the Charity's fifth birthday year, Breakthrough's second raffle, 'Fly the World for 50p,' has crucial sponsorship from the Post Office, but still needs help from people all over the country to make it an even bigger success.
First prize in this year's raffle is two flights to South Africa and 14 days' free accommodation in a choice of spectacular hotels - plus a £500 voucher and £500 spending money. Second and third prizes are two holidays in the Mediterranean.
If you would like to help make this Breakthrough's biggest raffle yet by selling tickets at 50p each, please call the Appeals Office on 0171 405 5111, or Ruth Loft, co-ordinator for East Lancashire, on 01254 262324.
