WOMAN'S Hour, BBC Radio 4's longest running magazine programme, celebrates its 50th anniversary with a nationwide bus tour which is in the county this week.
The programme's health initiative Best of Health! will tour for six months offering health advice and information.
It ranges from a diet to suit pregnant women to treatments available for breast cancer.
And women's groups from Lancashire are joining when the tour arrives in Blackburn tomorrow for a day of events outside the Marks & Spencer store.
Groups and firms involved include: Marks & Spencer, bra measuring; the Health Promotion Unit, general health issues; the Women's Centre, personal development courses; Women's Aid, domestic violence; Boots the Chemist, sun awareness; The Body Shop, skin regimes and make-up; Health Visitors, coronary heart disease and Dieticians, healthy eating.
