FEARS are mounting over the safety of an East Lancashire soap fan who went missing eight weeks ago.
Police are renewing their appeal for information about Brookside fan David George Adams, 27, who disappeared from his home in Walnut Street, Blackburn, at the beginning of June.
It is believed he may have gone to Liverpool to try and find the set of the Channel 4 series.
So far police in Lancashire and Merseyside have drawn a blank in their search and are increasingly concerned for David's safety.
Inspector Richard Cox of Blackburn Police said: "He has been missing for a considerable length of time.
"We haven't had any new information about his whereabouts for a few weeks and are keen to hear from anyone who has the slightest knowledge about where he could be."
David has disappeared from home in the past but has always returned after a couple of days.
He was wearing black jeans, a white long-sleeved top, brown boots and had just £20 on him when he left home.
Anyone with information can call Blackburn Police on 01254 51212.
