FAMOUS snooker firm E J Riley have hit the bullseye with one of their latest products.
The Padiham firm, the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of cue sports equipment, has been chosen as sole dartboard sponsors for the Webster's World Matchplay Tournament at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool, this month.
The Riley Eliminator board, launched last year, has been picked by the World Darts Council for all the practice and competition matches at the tournament, which is being televised on Sky.
Said Mark Foxley, sales and marketing director: "The interest shown in the Eliminator has been tremendous and is reflected by the decision of the WDC to use this board."
The dartboard features several innovative features. The conventional wire spider and staples have been replaced by a network of interlocking steel bands embedded in the board.
The micro thin bands mean 'bounce outs' are virtually eliminated, there is a 10 per cent larger playing area and the life span of the board is increased.
