BLACKBURN MP Jack Straw is delighted to find out that a company has named its hand-made baskets after him - and he is now determined to buy one.
He said: "Jack Straw is a historic and splendid name which I am very proud to bear. The original Jack Straw was one of the leaders of the Peasants' Revolt in 1381 - and therefore the name is very appropriate for a leading Labour politician. There is also a pub in Hampstead named after me - Jack Straw's Castle.
"I am delighted to find out that there are now some baskets named after me and I am determined to seek them out and buy one for the use of my family."
