A CLERGYMAN who is walking a gruelling 100 miles for Children In Need made a pit stop at a Blackburn church.
The Rev Neil Short - unshaven and wearing shorts and a T-shirt bearing the words "Rev on the Road" - arrived in Blackburn en-route from his home town of Bradford to Burscough, where he will be ordained into his next parish.
The congregation at St Silas's Church in Blackburn welcomed Mr Short, who was met by his wife Margaret and children Peter and Ben.
After an overnight stay he continued to Burscough, where he will be joined for the last 10 miles by local youth organisations helping to boost funds for Children in Need.
