KIDNAPPERS who abducted a single mum are believed to have been lurking around side streets for two hours before she was attacked and indecently assaulted, police have revealed.

The two Asian men grabbed their 33-year-old victim as she walked along Stonyhurst Road, Blackburn, at 10pm on Tuesday.

She was driven to Pleasington Cemetery, dragged into bushes and indecently assaulted by one of the men before the kidnappers escaped with her handbag and £18 in cash.

Detectives have revealed that eye witnesses saw two men fitting the description of the attackers acting suspiciously in Wensley Road, close to the scene of the abduction. The men were seen in the area between 8pm and 10pm and were in a white Ford Orion or Ford Escort, believed to be the vehicle used in the kidnap.

Police have renewed their appeal for information about the incident, which left the victim suffering from shock and minor cuts and bruises.

The two men are believed to be in their late 20s or early 30s. The man who committed the indecent assault is 5ft 4in tall, with a stocky build, dark hair in a short back and sides style, fat lips and a slight double chin.

He was wearing white, traditional Asian dress of trousers and a long top.

The driver of the car is thin, with a very short haircut and was wearing a brown jacket.
