UP to 1,000 people marched through Nelson to mark the birthday of the prophet Mohammed.
Visitors from Pakistan and London joined marchers from Pendle and across the North to celebrate the religious festival.
The event marked the culmination of a busy weekend of celebrations by the Muslim community. The Ghosia Mosque in Clayton Street and nearby roads were decked out with flags and bunting. The mosque held special services throughout last week. The march route went through the heart of the town's large Asian community and took in Scotland Road, Every Street, Lomeshaye Road, Manchester Road and Rupert Street, before returning to the mosque for a service and refreshments.
