SNOOKER star Dennis Taylor was among hundreds of mourners who packed tiny St Edward's Church, Darwen, for the funeral of nightclubber Kevin Sudall.
The popular 22-year-old was finally laid to rest yesterday, more than three weeks after he was fatally injured outside Blackburn's Club Euro nightspot in Ciceley Lane.
Two hundred mourners followed the hearse from Kevin's home in View Road, Darwen, to the tiny church where his family worship.
The Blackburn-based snooker star comforted Kevin's distraught parents Bill and Sheila.
The three-car cortege, followed by 200 friends and relatives, made its way along the 500-yard route to the church for the funeral mass led by Father Kevin Griffiths.
The name 'Kev' was spelled out in a floral tribute in the back of the hearse as the procession made its way in silence to the service watched by dozens of neighbours who gathered to pay their last respects.
The mourners later made their way to Darwen Eastern Cemetery where Kevin was buried.
Three men from Blackburn, including two brothers, have appeared in court charged with Kevin's murder.
