MY family and I spent a great day out at Bilsborrow Car Boot Sale. But, on returning to our car, I spotted a 4x4 Ford being driven from a parking lot to another space further down.
The driver was no older than 12, with a young girl about 15 in the passenger seat. I asked how old he was. His reply was 17 years. They both smiled at one another.
A passer-by told them to get out of the car. They went back to a car some four spaces away. I then heard a man's voice telling the child to bring the car up at which I said I would take his car number.
Eventually, a lady came and drove it away.
This is the kind of child who, by the time he is 16, will have gone on joyrides at other folks' expense.
And who would have been to blame if this child had put his foot down and damaged half a dozen cars or even killed a child?
The real culprits are the parents in this case.
