I BELIEVE that the moral decline we are witnessing can be traced back to the use of the atomic bomb in the Second World War.

Before that, it had not been possible for humanity to destroy itself. Ever since, we have lived with that possibility and consequently, this has destroyed part of the hope we all depend upon.

Living under the threat of annihilation is destroying our morals and the use of the atom bomb was the biggest moral issue of all times.

Only by facing the truth can we learn. It has been said that the reason for its use was to save lives.

Therefore, those whose lives were saved are entitled to say if that was justified or not.
