WORLD famous musician Eric Delaney will be gracing the Fylde stage, thanks to Blackpool Brass.
Eric, who has lived in the Fylde since January, will be performing at the band's 30th anniversary concert later this month at Lowther Pavilion.
The percussion virtuoso has received many accolades during his long career in the music business, with three performances by Royal command - and many titles such as Drummer of the Year and Musician of the Year.
Shaun Pickup, chairman of Blackpool Brass Band, said: "We are all thrilled to bits because this is the first time he has ever done anything with a brass band.
"He came to see our concert with Don Lusher last Christmas and then said he would like to do something similar."
Band members approached Eric to organise a percussion extravaganza with his help.
Eric explained: "I am such a keen musician and Blackpool Brass is a very good band.
"My friends Don Lusher and Kenny Baker have played with them and it is possible all three of us could join the group next year for a concert."
At the moment Eric is looking forward to the Lowther Pavilion performance, on August 26 from 7.30pm.
Tickets are £5 from the cafe at Lowther Pavilion, Annie's restaurant at Wyevale Garden Centre, the Stuart Beaumont hair salon in Cleveleys and at the door on the night.
Eric said: "It is going to be a great concert which will be different for the band, different for the audience and different for me."
