A CLEAN-CUT Fleetwood cutie could soon be a familiar face in your bathroom.

Four-year-old Billie Bailey is hoping to gain the prestigious title of Miss Pears 1996 and has already beaten off competition from 20,000 other girls to reach the last ten.

It was Billie's aunt, Jackie Hargreaves, who decided to enter the pretty blonde youngster in the soap company's beauty competition back in June when photographer Jeffrey Walker took some shots.

Proud mum Beverley, of Devon Avenue, said: "Of course we all think she's gorgeous, but I am quite surprised she has got all the way to the finals.

"The people at Pears liked the pictures we sent them and came and took some of their own. Billie was a natural in front of the camera, she seems to enjoy it."

Beverley and Billie are scheduled to go on holiday to Cyprus the week before the finals at the Savoy Hotel, London, on August 27 and 28.

If they can't get a refund for the holiday, they will get an early flight back to London and meet aunt Jackie there.

If Billie wins the competition, the Baileys will be off on holiday again, this time on an all-expenses paid trip to Disneyland, Florida.

She will also win £1,000 cash and a portrait painting of herself. Her face will feature on the Pears soap package later in the year.

Beverley said: "Billie is very excited about it. I'm not sure she knows exactly what's going on, but she knows something is happening and is looking forward to the finals. I think I'm more nervous than her!"
