BIG Peter Swan looks likely to miss tonight's friendly against Glentoran at the Oval stadium.
The Clarets defender is struggling for fitness after suffering a heel injury in Monday's 5-0 victory over Ards.
Burnley go into the game defending a three-game unbeaten run from their so far successful tour of Northern Ireland.
"It is doubtful whether we'll risk Peter tonight because the heel is still very sore and we don't want to aggravate it further," confirmed manager Adrian Heath.
"We expect Glentoran to give us our biggest test. I understand they are quite a physical side and have one or two good players.
"We've done well in the three fixtures we have played so far and I'm looking to take another step towards August 17.
Striker Liam Robinson is another doubtful starter tonight.
He has been under intense treatment for a groin injury which has forced him out of the last two fixtures.
The Burnley squad had a day off yesterday and enjoyed a club golf day on the Royal County Down golf course in Newcastle.
"Everybody seemed to enjoy it and it was a good relaxation after a fairly hectic few days," added Heath.
Burnley have been so impressed with the facilities at their Slieve Donard hotel base they are considering making the trip an annual pre-season visit.
"We've enjoyed it, it's been smashing, the hotel has looked after us well and the food and facilities have been excellent," said Heath.
"Some of the lads had voiced their concerns about coming out to Northern Ireland, but they are now glad that they did. The peace and quiet makes it easier to relax."
Burnley have confirmed that the new East Stand will be fully open for the Lancashire derby clash against Blackpool on September 10.
Director of Ground Developmant Clive Holt explained: "The new stand will be up and running for the Blackpool match. But for the friendly against Liverpool, there will be just three sides of the ground open."
Vince Overson was due to have a scan on his Achilles tendon today. If he gets the all-clear Burnley will sign the 34-year-old defender over the weekend.
All season ticket books are now ready for collection on production of the relative receipt.
As Burnley's new East Stand will not be ready for their attractive pre-season friendly match against Liverpool at Turf Moor on Monday, August 12 (kick off 7.45pm), reserved seat tickets will only be available for the Bob Lord Stand, Endsleigh Stand and North Stand. Prices are:
North Stand (Upper Level) £12 (adults), £6 (concessions), lower level £10, £5; Bob Lord Stand £10, £5; Endsleigh Stand £9, £4.50.
Concession tickets for juveniles and senior citizens will only be available unto 4.30pm on August 12. There will be no reduced priced turnstiles at the match.
Due to shortage of time since arranging the game, obtaining ground licence and printing tickets, the following restricted ticket arrangements will apply. Tickets will be on general sale at the ticket office as from 9.15am on Friday, August 2.
Season ticket holders in the Bob Lord Stand and North Stand can claim tickets for their own reserved seats, and East Stand season ticket holders will be allocated a seat in the Endsleigh Stand if claimed before 5pm on Wednesday, August 7. They will then go on general sale.
Ticket sales from the office will cease at 4.30pm on Monday, August 12. Any remaining tickets will be put on general sale at the designated cash turnstiles.
It is however, recommended that in order to avoid disappointment, tickets be purchased in advance.
The ticket office will be open for the sale of Liverpool tickets and the hours of collection of season ticket books during the following hours - Monday to Thursday: 9.15am to 6pm, Friday 9.15am to 7pm, Saturday 9.15am to 1pm.
