A NEW initiative to help local companies cope with the introduction of new technologies has been launched in Burnley.
The Business Futures Initiative aims to raise awareness and promote the effective use of new technologies.
Supported by the European Regional development Fund, the project is managed by Burnley College, Burnley Borough Council and Initiative Burnley in conjunction with the private sector.
The partnership will offer services such as consultancy advice, demonstrations, exhibitions, training and business networking.
Business professionals from a variety of companies attended a seminar at Burnley College.
There were guest speakers, demonstrations and exhibitions to show how new technology can be used for business planning, market opportunities and customer relationships.
Technologies discussed included the Internet, video conferencing and the World Wide Web.
Anyone interested in future events should contact Fiona Donaldson on 01282 436111.
