ONE notable absentee from Owens Corning St Helens Recs' victory over Oxton was their Lancashire batsman Paddy McKeown. McKeown aged 20 who joined Recs from Formby this year had good reason to be missing however.
As he was given the opportunity to take part in the Lords Test. McKeown was handed the England 12th man duties for the opening Test against Pakistan and was called upon several times to deputise in the field. Recs hope to include McKeown - who has scored prolifically in Lancashire seconds this season - in their line up for the visit to Wallasey on Saturday.
