PORTUGAL, Germany... and now Northern Ireland. Adrian Heath is searching far and wide in his quest for new Burnley players.
Striker Glenn Ferguson - who lined up against the Clarets in the Ulster tour match with Glenavon on Tuesday night - is the manager's latest target.
The 26-year-old, who scored more than 30 goals last season, is being tracked by Notts County and Dundee, and has been recommended by former Burnley favourite Billy Hamilton.
Heath is keeping a close eye on his new foreign stars, Bambo and Torsten Boer, who have so far impressed on the week-long trip to Northern Ireland.
Burnley drew 0-0 with Glenavon after beating Coleraine 4-0 and Ards 5-0.
He told the Citizen: "We'll have a better idea of how they'll fit in after this tour. You can do all the training you want but when games begin it's totally different -we've got five games in seven days."
He has been impressed with the team's performances on the tour, particularly with the defence, which kept a clean sheet in the first three matches. Burnley play Glentoran at the Oval stadium, Belfast, today (Thursday, August 1).
