DAVE Lewis of Rossendale slumped to a time trial position of 15th in the Northumberland Castles Challenge All Terrain Marathon which worsened his overall classification to seventh after day three.

Although the shortest of the eight stages, the one-mile trial featured undulating terrain and tight, difficult corners.

Lewis, from Rossendale, was 18 seconds down on stage winner Chris Robinson of Shettleston Harriers but it is Andrew Pearson of Longwood Harriers who remains in the lead overall.
