I THINK we have a futile sentencing system in this country. Crime is an ever-increasing problem in our society. It's always been there and always will be. But as far as I'm concerned enough is enough.
How many more innocent children are going to be murdered; their families devastated and destined to spend the rest of their lives in turmoil? Capital punishment is essential for serial killers, child murderers and any type of premeditated evil crime.
The politicians keep telling us there is no deterrent in having the death penalty. I say a deterrent is irrelevant - we don't want this scum on our streets, ever! We've gone so soft, it's unbelievable. We have to get back in control of society.
Keeping these so-called people in prison is a waste of resources and space and the sooner the politicians realise this, the better for everyone.
Forget the deterrent factor, it doesn't exist. We've had a belly full of do-gooders. It's time to get tough.
