STAFF at nightclub Utopia in Blackburn have landed themselves a mission impossible - to find the perfect man!
In the first competition of its kind in the region, the bosses of Utopia are out to prove that the dream hunk of the nineties really does exist in more than just the minds of female romantics.
And to shatter their female customers' belief that knights in shining armour are the things of myth and legend, they are combing the ranks of northern males to find the most eligible bachelor in East Lancashire.
Over 25s Sales Manager for Utopia Louise Appleton said: "We accepted the challenge to find some single eligible men.
"They don't believe there are any out there but we have faith in the men of East Lancashire."
She added: "Every woman has a thought of what her ideal man is. We are searching for the man of our dreams!"
The line-up gathered by the search-party will be paraded before a panel of judges at a special night at the club on Thursday, August 29.
The winner will take home the coveted title along with prizes such as a week-end break and designer clothes worth over £1000.
Entrants have to be over 25 and live in East Lancashire. They can nominate themselves or relatives and friends can enter them for the competition.
They are asked to send a photograph with the application to: Louise Appleton, Over 25s Sales Manager, Utopia, Lords Square, Blackburn, Lancashire. BB1 7JA. Competition closing date is Wednesday, August 14.
