A BLOOMING marvellous display of hanging baskets has won a pub landlord a contest for the fourth consecutive year.
Stuart Walsh, landlord of the Sunnyhurst Hotel, Darwen, has won the Daniel Thwaites hanging basket competion for tenanted pubs, taking both the area prize and the overall title.
Now it's party time at the pub with a special celebration night being arranged to mark the win.
Stuart said: "We grow all the plants from seed. I'm really chuffed to have won again."
Another East Lancashire pub, the Boatyard, at Riley Green, was also in celebration mood after winning the best overall beer garden category.
